    • Statement of purpose: The goal of this organization is to study, develop, and practice scientific socialism in the Greater Peoria area
    • The goal of the Organizing Committee is to establish Red Star Peoria as an organization following the statement of purpose
      • Eventually, once RSP reaches a certain size, this organizing committee will dissolve itself and create a more sophisticated structure to be determined later
    • Requirements and duties of the Organizing Committee
      • Longterm primary organizing commitment (at least six months to a year long)
        • Doesn’t mean “abandon your current work” but it does mean prioritizing building Red Star Peoria, potentially engaging in struggle within current organizations
      • Regular contribution of labor to the committee’s goals
      • Attendance of biweekly organizing committee meetings
        • Video call
        • Combination of study and business
      • Discipline and willingness to study theory and engage in practice
    • Organizational Bylaws
      • Some sort of collaborative drafting process by the organizational committee before it auto-dissolves
    • General meetings (monthly)
      • Open to public
      • In-person, primarily
        • Video call option for people who already are known to the organization
